The India Post Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) recruitment process for 2026 is currently in full swing. Expected Release Date for the 3rd Merit List
Traditionally, India Post releases subsequent merit lists after the Document Verification (DV) process for the previous list is completed. The DV for the 2nd Merit List is scheduled to conclude on April 27, 2026.

As we move to the 3rd list, the cut-off marks generally see a slight decline. While the initial lists often see cut-offs hovering around 95-100%, the 3rd list may see selections in the 88% to 94% range, depending on the specific circle and category (OBC/SC/ST/EWS).
How to Check the GDS 3rd Merit List
Once the official link is active, follow these steps to download the PDF:
- Visit the Official Portal: Go to indiapostgdsonline.gov.in.
- Find the Selection List: Look for the “Candidate’s Corner” or the “Shortlisted Candidates” tab.
- Select Your State: Click on your respective Circle (e.g., Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Maharashtra).
- Download List III: Click on the link for “Supplementary List-III.
- “Search Your Name: Use Ctrl+F to search for your Registration Number or Name.
What Happens After the 3rd List?
If your name appears in the 3rd merit list, you will receive an SMS and email on your registered credentials.
