Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualification (as of 01/04/2026)

  • For JE (Civil): Minimum 3-year Diploma in Civil Engineering (65% marks) OR a Degree in Civil Engineering (55% marks).
  • For JE (Electrical): Minimum 3-year Diploma in Electrical or Electrical and Electronic Engineering (65% marks) OR a Degree in the same (55% marks).
  • Note: Relaxation of 10% in marks for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.

2. Experience Requirement

  • Diploma Holders: At least 2 years of experience in execution/supervision of relevant engineering works.
  • Degree Holders: At least 1 year of experience in the relevant field.

3. Age Limit (as of 01/04/2026)

  • Minimum: 20 Years
  • Maximum: 30 Years
  • Age relaxation applies as per Govt. norms (SC/ST: 5 years, OBC: 3 years, PwBD: 10 years).

Selection Process

The selection will be conducted in two main phases:

  1. Online Examination (300 Marks): 150-minute test covering English Language, Engineering Discipline (Paper I & II), and General Intelligence/Reasoning.
  2. Language Proficiency Test (LPT): Candidates qualifying the online exam must pass a test in the local language of the zone they applied for.

RBI Junior Engineer Salary 2026

Selected candidates will receive a starting basic pay of ₹21,400/- per month. With allowances like Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and others, the gross monthly salary is approximately ₹71,032/-.

  • Payment of Fees: After final submission, you will be redirected to an online payment gateway. Fees must be paid via Debit/Credit Cards, Internet Banking, or UPI.
  • Final Printout: After a successful transaction, an e-receipt and a copy of the completed application form will be generated. You must print and save these for future reference; they are not to be sent to the RBI office by post.
  • Signature Warning: Signatures in CAPITAL LETTERS will not be accepted and may lead to disqualification.
